Coral Coast
Coral Coast North South

This spectacular coastal region extends from Exmouth, home of the whale sharks, in the north to Ledge Point, the windsurfing capital in the south. Bounded by reefs this area has a colourful shipwreck history, as many Dutch sailing ships, seeking the Spice Islands, foundered on this wild coast. Exmouth, Monkey Mia and Denham are in the northern region together with the fishing port of Carnarvon spread around the mouth of the mighty Gasgoyne River.

The sheltered river mouth township Kalbarri is in the Southern part of Australia's Coral Coast and is only a short drive to the quaint town of Northampton on the North West Coastal Highway. The port of Geraldton is the outlet for the rich extensive farming area to the east and a multi-million dollar fishing industry.
Spring heralds the unique wildflowers that thrive on the ancient soils and can be found along the roadsides of the Mid West and in our National Parks.
Huge sheep and cattle stations sprawl inland over remote and picturesque valleys and ranges.

A magnificent coastline of cliffs, reefs, beaches and bays makes this region a water sports paradise be it fishing for crayfish, the much sought after dhufish, sailing and windsurfing.
