Australia's Coral Coast North

Exmouth and Coral Bay hug the North West Cape. Renown for exciting diving and snorkeling on the inshore reef where myriads of colourful fish abound. The Ningaloo Marine Park stretches along 260 kms of pristine beach and seas teaming with colourful fish of every size and shape. Swim with the whale sharks and manta rays.

Friendly Bottlenose Dolphins regularly visit Monkey Mia where dugong and turtles also share the World Heritage Listed shallow salty waters and sea grass meadows of Shark Bay. Denham is a paradise for fishermen. The wild cliffs provide vantage points to view the tidal pools with fish arriving on the incoming tide and ospreys hunting overhead. Ancient stromatolites survive in these clear salty waters.

Savour the fruits of the Gasgoyne in Carnarvon where exotic mangoes, bananas, pawpaw and other tropical fruit are grown. Pick up some prawns at the port and enjoy a picnic on the seafront.

Inland are the magnificent Kennedy ranges and the heritage road to the austere Mt Augustus, the worlds largest isolated monocline which is more than twice the size of Ayers Rock. Kalbarri National Park, dissected by the mighty Murchison River bounds the south of this region.

Our climate is warm all year round, just perfect for relaxing and only a short plane trip from Perth or take your time and enjoy the journey by road stopping to explore the wonderful wildflowers (June to October) and rivers, gorges and beaches on the way.
