Experience Perth

Visiting Western Australia from overseas or interstate you are most likely to arrive in Perth, the capital and the most populated region of WA, but there is still plenty of open space and magnificent WA experiences to enjoy. Perth and Fremantle focus on the Swan River at the center of this region which extends between the Indian Ocean and the Hills. For your convenience it is divided into three regions, outer regions can be up to a beautiful two-hour drive from the city center. Check the sub-regions for more details and the accommodation available.

Experience Perth North is the coastal region extending from the Mid West quaint Spanish mission town of New Norcia to Perth City, which embraces the beautiful coastal suburbs of the Sunset Coast, east to the vineyards of the Swan Valley, the historic town of Guildford and the jarrah forest of the Darling Range or Perth Hills bounding the west. The river forms the boundary from the coast to Guildford.

Experience Perth South includes the southern part of the metro area, south of the river, including colourful and historic Fremantle and extends down the coastal beach suburbs through Rockingham and Mandurah on the Peel Inlet and inland to the cooler hills of the Darling Range. Intriguing Rottnest Island is included here.

The hills run parallel to the coast and are clothed in magnificent jarrah forest. In our region Experience Perth East towns and farmland are tucked into the valleys of the range and open out onto the plains of the wheat-belt. Explore Perth from here or it is a wonderful area to stay awhile, enjoy one of the many daytrips from central Perth, or when traveling to the Golden Outback wheat-belt towns.
