Experience Perth - North
The heart of Perth lies close to the beautiful Swan River, swelling to Perth water, over which you can take a ferry to South Perth or meander the river to Fremantle. A vibrant modern city with museums, art galleries, a working mint where coins are made and a busy shopping precinct. Enjoy a birds-eye view of the city from nearby Kings Park and Botanic Gardens. The blue Indian Ocean washes the Sunset Coast providing a playground for beach-lovers, endless pristine beaches with excellent swimming and water-sports should you be searching for surf or reef protected pools. Few places can boast such a magnificent coastline with marinas and facilities and backed by growing suburbs reaching to the National Park at Yanchep.
A great way to spend the day is to visit the Swan Valley that wends its way from the hills providing rich soils to nurture the vines. Explore historic Guildford or just savour the produce and enjoy the galleries. Perhaps stay in the rural areas and enjoy the countryside and small towns such as Gingin, and historic New Norcia.
